Almost Easter!!!

Hello parents,
Firstly a big thank you to our wonderful class reps, Michelle Adams and Sara Pitman for attending this weeks P&F meeting on behalf of PPL. The P&F were very generous and have allocated funds for the Pre Primary classes to purchase much needed reading books for in class and home as well as bikes, scooters and learning equipment for our outside area. We are extremely appreciative of their generosity.

World Down Syndrome Day - next Monday 21st March
This coming Monday we will use the 'Lots of Socks' theme created by Down Syndrome international and celebrate World Down syndrome day. On this day, we ask that your child wear socks of their choice to school. They can be bright, colourful, short or long, the choice is endless. During the day we will be discussing what makes us unique as well as Down syndrome. We will talk about inclusion and how we can all help each other to feel included. A wonderful day to celebrate our gorgeous Maisey.

Parent interviews
Parent interviews will be conducted on selected days in weeks 9 & 10 of this term. A timetable is up on the parent information board outside our classroom so please fill in a time slot that suits you. If you are unable to make any of those times please send us an email and we can arrange another time.

Easter bonnets and Easter Egg donations
A note was sent home regarding the supplies for the Easter bonnets we will be making to wear at the Easter assembly after the Easter break. Each child requires decorations for their bonnets as well as something to make their hat out of (ice cream container etc). Don't forget to bring in an Easter egg, the more donated Easter eggs there are, the more eggs there are to win!!!

Letters and learning
We are now up to learning the final set of letters: Z X V Q K W Y J so please keep these sounds in your conversations at home.

Prayers
Finally please keep Mrs Peacock and her family in your prayers as her son is undergoing major surgery this week. We pray that all goes well and hope he has a speedy recovery.
