On the count down to Christmas.

Busy times at OLC....

A few reminders for the next few weeks.

Tomorrow: Book week dress up parade. Come dressed as your favourite Australian story book character or Australian hero. You may bring a gold coin if you would like to buy a second hand book.

Assembly change for week 8: changed to Thursday 1/12  instead of Friday 2/12

Orientation Day:  On Friday 2nd Dec the students will be visiting their new classroom for 2017 for a small activity and to see what it is like in Year 1!!!

Students will sit with their teachers for the duration and will be collected from their teachers at the end of the night. Please keep smaller sibling with mums and dads. The students can dress in Christmas colours or if you are feeling extra festive they may dress as a wise man or Mary etc.

Christmas Hamper Appeal: Please give generously to support others in what can be a difficult time of the year.  Pre-Primary classes are collecting tins, pasta, rice, biscuits, crackers, sauces, jams, condiments (basically any non-perishable good food, which can be used beyond Christmas). A box is located in the wet area of the ECC area or in the classroom.

Home Readers:
The children won't take home a reader in the last week of term (week 9). On Friday of week 8 the EA's will collect everyone's home reader so please make sure they come back.

Last day fun: On the very last Friday the Pre Primaries will be having a last day fun day. They can bring their bathers and a towel for a bit of water fun. It will be bring your own recess and lunch as usual. We may need a few parents to come in and help us cleaning toys, chairs desks etc. If you are able to help please let Mrs Leahy know.

The children have thoroughly enjoyed playing in our new Nature Playground. There will be some photos to come....
